These felted soaps are a beautiful soap and gentle washcloth all in one and act as an excellent exfoliator.  They are made locally by a very crafty, clever friend of ours and she uses 100% natural Merino and Corriedale hand dyed wool, wrapped and handfelted around a ball of our organic handmade soap.  Strung with a natural jute rope these gorgeous soaps are perfect for hanging on your tap when you're done!   We think they are perfect for children, encouraging them to scrub, come in all kinds of vibrant as well as subdued, natural colours and these certainly aren't bars of soap that will slip out of your hands!

New to our range, we introduced these at Christmas 2007 and they have very popular indeed!  We found them to be perfect, eco-friendly ornaments as well, ready to give away to family and friends after taking down the tree instead of being stashed up in the loft with all the other decorations.  Also, when the soap is all used up, the felt will eventually become hollow, perfect for cleaning the bath (waste not, want not!) or... cut it open, reshape when wet, leave to dry and use as a small decorative bowl for pot pourri, jewellry, etc.  Each 'soap on a rope' comes weighing roughly 150 - 200 grams and colours vary.  If intended as a gift, why not have us package this item in one of our colourful, fair trade gift boxes from GPI in Nepal along with a customised gift message?  Simply select this option below and add your desired message.
